About HomeschoolLeap

Our mission

HomeschoolLeap makes homeschooling easier. Homeschooling is good for kids and good for families. Our job is to help new families take the leap to start. We can also help families who are already homeschooling by making it easier.

What we do

HomeschoolLeap can take a parent from “I’m thinking about homeschooling” to “I’m ready” in a single session. We cover all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

Answer a few questions, and we generate a personalized compliance plan with the steps, deadlines, and documents you need.

What we believe

  • Less compliance, not more. We help families meet their state’s legal minimum, clearly and confidently. We never encourage over-reporting or unnecessary interaction with the state.
  • More privacy, not less. Families should share the bare minimum required by law and nothing more.
  • Your data is yours. We will never sell, share, or monetize user data. Period. See our Privacy Policy for details.
  • Empowerment over dependence. The goal is confident, capable families, not anxious users tethered to our platform.
  • Trust through accuracy. Every requirement is traced to the actual state statute. We say “we’re not sure, check with your district” before we say something wrong.

What we are not

  • We are not a surveillance tool for school districts or governments.
  • We are not building a database of homeschool families for anyone to query.
  • We are not in the business of collecting data about children.
  • We are not lawyers, and nothing on this site is legal advice.
