What documents do you need?

Oklahoma does not require any documents to homeschool under this pathway. You can start whenever you're ready.

If withdrawing from school

Status
Not required, but recommended to prevent truancy concerns

school principal or attendance office

No statutory withdrawal procedure exists. However, failing to notify the school can result in the child being marked truant and potentially triggering a district attorney investigation. Notify in writing that you are withdrawing the child to provide education through 'other means of education' per the Oklahoma Constitution and 70 O.S. 10-105. Request copies of the child's records at withdrawal.
