Part-Time Public School Attendance
Eligibility
Request by May 1 of prior school year; space available; child lives in attendance zone. Driver's ed must be provided to eligible homeschooled students who notify by April 1.
How to enroll
Submit a written request to your local public school district by May 1 of the prior school year. For driver's ed, notify by April 1 and provide evidence of passing grades in at least eight courses over the previous two semesters.

Extracurricular access

Illinois does not currently have a law guaranteeing homeschool students access to public school extracurricular activities. Some districts may allow participation on a case-by-case basis.
